| First, you should insist on door-to-door shipping. Places like DAS will take 2 weeks to deliver the car. You may ask, "Well why the heck to they need 2 weeks?" Well they will either pick the car up or someone will have to drop it off at the terminal. Then the car will sit there for several days. God only knows what they do with it, where it's stored, how many times it's driven, etc. You should request enclosed shipping. If you do an open trailer, you're asking for trouble in my opinion. All kinds of damage can happen if the car is exposed. If you must do an open trailer, pay a little extra so that it's on the top of the carrier...less chance for rock chips and less chance of crappy cars dripping oil or other fluids right on your car. Make sure they are fully insured. This is self-explanatory. I've used TN'T twice and haven't had any complaints. They picked up the SMZ in a day and it got driven here with only one stop (was on a two car enclosed carrier towed by a duelie). They also picked up the 91 in just a few days and got it here 36 hours after they picked it up. It came in with 5 brand new 7-series BMW's (big enclosed 6-car semi). :-) Price? Well, that's up to you. To me, I prefer to pay more for better service. TN'T called me when the picked it up and called me while it was in transit twice, and then called after it got dropped off to make sure everything was okay. A+ service in my book. Make sure you don't go with DAS...that is all. :-)
